'how's Life'
Remember when we met up
Laughed, talked about life
Times were good
Now look at us
Sitting in silence
Staring out the window at the snow piling up
Can't answer "how's life?"
Without getting choked up
And you know it too
You haven't had it much easier
So we sit in silence
Embracing each other's presence
Your phone rings
"gotta take this"
Some talk about some serious business
"I have to go"
A kiss on my cheek
And out to the snow
I watched you leave
Never to come back into my life again
