how you've hurt me
you'll never know
the scars only now
are beginning to show

how you've hurt me
you'll never see
it happened alone
the undoing of me

How you've hurt me
you'll never taste
the sweetness of dreams
now lying in waste

how you've hurt me
you'll never feel
the wracking of pain
the torture so real

how you've hurt me
one day you will know
the poem potion
the horror will show

how you've hurt me
will one day display
the state of your heart
the mean games you play

how you've hurt me
will come back to haunt
when down in the grave
this rhyme will still taunt

how you've hurt me
is beyond your repair
the damage is done
my soul's naked and bare

eileen

Truly a haunting poem of deep...immense hurt... It's painful to read, dear. But well I know that writing of it frees the sobbing soul...I've always admired you for your passionate pieces... sorrow and hurt hold a passion like none other!"it happened alone the undoing of me" Those lines sting, because I can so relate.... have a beautiful rest of the week! Much love to you! Always, Laura

I love Shane's response, it is a poem within itself. So sorry that you are feeling down Eileen, please know that it is a temporary condition.

Dearest Bambi, I find it a strange quality of human nature that we seem to forget the feeling of pain yet still remember that it happened. Yet love if you close your eyes I think you can taste that first kiss even 50 years later. The pain will go the memory may remain but it will be empty. Close your eyes little one and live in love. Be safe my dear friend Love Shane xxx

A soul that is stripped and beaten represents the worst kind of pain we can inflict on another human. Your words laid bare these nasty wounds. Yet, there is a balm that promotes healing -- love. I know many here love and respect you and your work -- of course that include me LO! So lather up!! 7

Hi Eileen....I see that you're walking in shadows tonight; but tomorrow will be a better day and the hurt will be gone, to be replaced by a smile. Hugs // paul

Thanks, dear. I'm down...as is obvious. It's Ok. I'll be better tomorrow. I'm very tired, but some things need to be "said". Thanks for the visit.
