With modulation and inflection I speak invariably. I disclose my soul in reports and records, a regular chatterbox, that voice, it shares with the world unabashedly. But when enough is enough? And how is abundant sufficient? How do I disclose what I wish to state in a different manner? See here my prevailing challenge. Oh, I am Narcissus, I don't object to conversing about myself, but how to do that less conspicuous? I am not a historian, yet I like to speak about actual, factual historical characters I am not an advocate, yet I want to be one in the future, for abuse, injury. I am not a dancer anymore, yet I want to share the art of ballet with you, orchestrated choreographies. I cannot play the violin anymore, yet I fiddle to you my love for music. There is my list, here is my agenda, now grant me a new tone, allow me to declare information to you all in a different manner. Less obvious, more abstract. Back to say that I'm not sure of anything. I think that when we are changing, it is then that we're most alive.

Okay, yes - that sounds good. "Forcing" is usually going to be bad. I'm torn between the sometime folly of thinking we have to change - for the sake of change itself, because the "grass is always greener on the other side," etc. - and the reluctance and fear to embrace the new and needed.

Yes, but we must be open to change and embrace it. (I think) I also thing I should not force it anymore but be open to it and let it go.

"Should I move away more from personal writing?" I don't think so, Darren, since that sounds like an ahead-of-time decision to possibly neglect what you're feeling at the time. I say let it flow, whatever it is.

Agreed. And you know - sometimes change occurs so fast it's not like anything is really given up by letting things run.

I have tried Doug, and indeed I cannot. I am evolving I know, but that's a natural process, and I think I should let it run its course instead of trying to force myself. I am who and what I am. Thank you.

Oh Dude, that is such a great list. : ) (((Darren))) I think we all have innate strengths as writers/poets and we often begin writing in a certain manner due to them. What you speak of is really quite a huge thing, vastly challenging and rewarding as well. Surely - a lot of work. Isn't it that one must think differently while writing, to have a "new voice"?

Yeah, I know I have already moved on in certain ways, but I was wondering if I should move away more from personal writing. I am not sure yet :)

Hello Darren. I believe you have. Because of life circumstances for me I understood your words and thoughts. For me I call it alternative living. Your truly have found a new voice and your words here are very much thought out. Wonderful work with the formatting and presentation as well. Enjoy the night.

You have found your voice, it speaks through your poetry, Darren. Maybe it was always meant to be this way. My father was a wonderful musician who played first violin in the Indian Governors band, time of the British Raj, but he was too self absorbed, unfortunately. When we came to Australia , he played for the Sydney Symphony orchestra, but he didn't get the same glory. Some people cant be pleased.

Thank you Maria. So you too say that I should just continue writing the way I do.... What a shame about your father, that he lost pleasure in playing the violin for himself. I am sorry about that.
