Along the path of life
                                         An abiding faith lies,
                                    The primrose lines the way
                                Through winter’s harshest wrath;
                                        A vernal lush display.

                                        Along the path of life
                                   Amongst abandoned leaves,
                                     Vibrant, petal gems rise
                                    On mounds of jaded green;

                                     Through fickle April skies.

                                       Along the path of life
                                        Serenity and peace,
                                  Where Lenten Roses bloom;
                                    Evergreen woody stems
                                 Emerging from earths womb.
