How Many Donuts Can We Do In Today's Snow
Bone white fluffs have covered the driveway and the yard
In fast sideways slashes,
No way gentle now, erasing the
Fifty-two degree almost spring day
Cars will be racing in this slick stuff
To see who can get to the corner first,
Some not getting to the corner at all.
Should we take the car out to see how many
Out-of-control donuts it will do?
Sure, in days gone by. Not today.
Today the reality of car insurance costs
Have slapped us in our faces.
We hibernate inside, staring at a screen
With moving pictures not being entertained,
Sneaking peeks out the window,
Delighting in youthful remembrances.
Snow.
Glorious
Beautiful
Soft Fluffy Delightful
Bone White snow
