How I Long To Behold Thy Flawless Face,

Oh, how I long to behold thy flawless face, Glorious God, how I long to know you more Singing, singing thy sweet song… amazing grace Oh, I would love to be in that priceless place Thy terrific and eternal treasure store Oh, how I long to behold thy flawless face I don’t want to stay down in this sensual space Enroll me into the fold where I’ll hail and adore, Singing, singing thy sweet song… amazing grace Show me, thy golden glow, glory and grace. Remove all roadblocks on my way I implore. How I long to behold thy flawless face. Help me to run and win this righteous race Save me from thorns that stings me sore, Singing, singing thy song… amazing grace In that gorgeous garment with a lovely lace In the place you made for those who love your lore Oh. how I long to behold thy flawless face Singing, singing thy sweet song… amazing grace

This is lovely, Adeleke. One of the gifts of our poems being featured periodically is having new (to us) poets stop by, introduce themselves and render comments. I appreciate your compliment, and from I see so far, you have a wonderful talent as well. I look forward to reading more of your work.

It sounds like you're writing about an angel, Adeleke. A very lovely poem and the refrain is wonderful: "singing, singint they sweet song...amazing grace." Excellent use of the form. Uplifting and beautifully penned, my friend. Love, Carolyn
