How Do You Define What Is Humourous

Would it be considered nefarious
If I call my poems ‘hilarious’
Our humour is subjective …
I write from MY perspective 
It’s a trait of my sign Aquarius!


I have never categorised any of my poems as ‘hilarious’ as what I consider is  humourous is a matter of opinion and often when I read ‘hilarious’ poems I don’t find them that amusing

Maurice Rigoler January 27, 2017 at 4:21 PM On average most humorous poem are just that, without being truly hilarious. This was a good limerick, Jan, with, as Ilene says, well said. I, too, am by nature conservative (though not stuffy conservative), I find it bizarre that I write humorous verse at all! Where it comes from I have not the smallest clue. And nefarious comes close to criminal and I don't that describes any poem although some (not yours) are diabolical. Nice word play, I enjoyed your piece.
