How Could You

How could you see the center of me, My hopes, My dreams, My un resting peace. How could you walk away from me. When I let you see those parts of me. With another person I have never been so free, Felt safe, Opened up. Now the doors they've closed shut, To protect the hole you've left in me. You stripped away my security. Made me question what left of me. I look in at all I see, All the parts where blame may be. Trying to find why you left me. It's not right, It not fair, To feel the way I feel. I am not less because you left me. I can rest without you there. My hearts not pressed. You'll see I swear, but yes you left a hole in me, Where my best friend used to be.
