How Could God Love Someone Like Me

I'm selfish, I'm a thief, I'm an adulterer, I'm a murderer, I'm a profane blasphemer, I'm immoral, I'm destructive, I'm virtually foolish, I'm a sinner, I have habits I regret, I manifest a hard unbelieving heart. I'm a disappointment to myself and to others. I seek satisfaction in all the wrong places. I'm sick inside and out. I'm disabled with perceptions of a false reputation of being unstable. I'm so afraid and so weak, I'm ugly, I'm dead, I am nothing. These thought, questions, and reason are what I have to say, when YOU tell ME that God loves someone like me. How could this possibly be? That Christ died for me. Maybe you have me confused with someone who isn't me. Come on! Tell the truth! Don't talk to me like a childish youth. I can't contemplate how God could love a person who can't do any thing right and do all things wrong. As I grew I try to change my ways but now years seem like days. Even my Mom said I'd be better off dead, but instead I let myself die in pride. I let sin rob me of my soul inside. How could God love me? In all of this worldliness I see. Then you reply NO! It’s not a lie! You are in God's hands Trust me, He understands. Since the foundation of the world, He had you in his plans. The truth is we all have sinned, but this is not the end. His plan for you can now begin. He has redeemed you his child. Even though in your past you were wild! A genuine repentance for your sins, he will convert your heart and renew the spirit within. Your change will be seen in contrast to your past. Those who knew you will not recognize you. For fear, or unbelief they will try to make you feel blue. For this journey is new for you. Trust God and he will see you through. In times of joy! And in times of pain! He is the sun shine through the rain. Everyday will not be a breeze, but be at ease. God died So that he could forever be by you side. Amen

Yes, Christ died for our sins, once and for all! We are a new creation in Him. The best way to stay on the narrow path of righteousness is through reading the Bible, prayer and fellowship with the saints! God bless you, Joy! :)
