Hours...

Please take it off Please take it off me I am frightened My vision is obscured By wires and tubes Useless now to me Why is that radio so loud Its loud inaudible hum Is drowning out The birds singing I need to hear them now I need to hear life beautiful I don't want this smell around me This smell of finality I want the smell of my children Their beautiful hair freshly washed To come and see me Like a babies smell so monumental to a Mummy I have fought this cancer We didn't tell the kids I had two years maybe more and grace But now it is a matter of hours Please take these wires and tubes off me So I can feel their lasting kiss on my face
