to all who faced Katrina Washed away--- Memories of scenes of the past Scattered like debris And yet you wonder if there’s life After all this going on And after all that has happened. Washed away--- Homes emerged under water Like boats out to sea. We see it on our television screens And wonder Just wonder why but Questions like that goes unanswered. Washed away--- Gone! With a trace of hope A lifetime Gone! Life seems lifeless Useless But there are some Who picked up where they left off And keeps going No matter what! No pity here.
