Hope

Peanuts nestled in my palm
Awaiting Black Capped Chickadees
These little pirates claimed their booty
And stole my heart away

Clawed feet hooked ‘round my pinky
As they appraised the contents
Then snatched the plumpest nuts
Yet no plunder was involved

When I begin to lose all hope
It seems I feel those tiny toes
Mere ounces lift my weighty pain
A fair exchange indeed

Absolutely beautiful! Captivated and mesmerized by the images here so well written. It is the little things in life that give us the greatest joy sometimes, and hope. Wonderful to read! Love, Shar
