Home Sweet Home

Mice in the wall rats in the hall Our first apartment sure had it all A cockroach or two for dinner would do We'd laugh when they floated face up in the stew Right outside the window were the railroad tracks As the trains would roar by my dad's dentures would clack Our creaky old three-flat the city finally tore down Rats, rice and roaches relocated to a more modern playground

Yeah. It was pretty awful there. Thank God, I was too young to care much. :)

After we sold our 4 bedroomed house a beautiful landscapped garden swimming pool and a gazebo, we rented until we found a far far smaller place looks like a fairy tales house our far smaller garden I lanscapped, but the house in between we rented had cockroaches everywhere, we complained not much was done - we had insect exterminators come to do the whole house before i was going to pack anything for our new home which is close to our son and his family. Hugs and blessings Jenn.

Hey, hey, Caren. It's as advertised: No windows to break. (They're already all broken).

Some start at the bottom and rise... others start at the bottom and fall even lower somehow... lol.

A little ashamed of myself now. My sisters and I used to sing silly songs to the click-clack of my dad's denture. Oh, did he ever get mad... He'd chase use all over the place, and when he caught us, boy did we feel the wrath of his right hand on our poor little bottoms. ~ Still smiling, gw

Hmmm...I do catch some glimpses of inspiration here, gw. Surely it couldn't have been that bad! But, maybe, it was...you seem to've survived with all your wit intact!

The only way to deal with those kind of places is with a sense of humor... No serious damage to me. We were out of there -- and in a nice house! -- before I was 10. So, lucky me.
