Home For the Weekend

Home for the weekend, bags dropped showered and ready. Meeting in town, not drank in a week so will keep it steady. Tell and listen how the week’s been, don't care really it's about now and my friends I've seen. As times change and years go by, those moments we have become fewer but we need to try. Lives move on but those friendships stay, it might be weeks till you speak but only feels like yesterday. Remember your past and acknowledge your bad times, they are apart of you and are fuel for my bad rhymes. Look through to your future and those friends will still be there. Reminiscing about school days and always ready to share. Those days that we bank as a vague memory, will bring smiles to us in years to come when we are looking for remedy.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
