Holy War
You and yourself are a holy war
A happy pain you won’t ignore
You and yourself are a holy war
You won’t believe your family as you trust the air
A system of love and hate that you think is fair
A blissful struggle at your core
You and yourself are a holy war
You listen hungrily to generations of lies
Only to tell me that your very own hands are tied
As you live in death just like a chore
You and yourself are a holy war
Your son is gay and can’t follow the path
That you think you know will avoid God’s wrath
So you blindly see the only open door
But it makes you a vicious holy war
Your family is suffering under the weight
Of the misunderstanding that simply is hate
But you choose to be forced to follow, this god you swore
For whom you fight righteously a holy war
