His Strength Empowers
With blood pouring in his eyes
And saltless tears streaming down his face
The Savior of the world came and took His place
Upon a cross of suffering
Upon a cross of shame
His strength empowers me til this very day!
He was a King prior
He sat on a mighty throne
He was robed in fullest majesty
He carried His cross alone
He walked the road to Calvary
And not for one moment did he turn around and go back
Back to the easy life of being a King
Not to the carefree life with His angelic beings
No! He stayed there in the midst of the most horrible suffering
My Savior! My King! His strength and love for all of mankind is EMPOWERING!
