His Eyes
From the moment I saw the twinkle
In his muddy pools
I knew.
I saw everything I needed,
I can't explain it
But his eyes spoke my language.
I look into his eyes now
And see his pain.
Whilst others believe his smile
I see his suffering from ill health.
Our eyes understand each other.
I long for that delightful twinkle
To return to his troubled eyes,
I pray
For happiness to return to those muddy pools,
I can't explain it
But his eyes speak louder than his voice.
