Here I Stand Waiting
Here I stand
Right before you
Heart lays exposed
Waiting for the a few words
Knowing you'll just leave soon
A few moments here and there
I always seem to be waiting
Waiting for class
Waiting for work
Waiting for sleep to come
But what am I really waiting for
What am I doing with my life
Where can I search for these answers
Where will I find meaning
Real meaning
Not just my fantasies
A mind keeps it's secrets
Telling nothing real
Here's a tiny trinket
A little bit of shine
Take it
Think you really did find something
A simple distraction
The mind continues to play it's games
And I am simply a toy in what it wants
