Here At Poetry Soup

Some folks come here to stir up the Soup Others come to spread around some poop, I come here to find the mighty fine poems Stimulate my mind when I’m in doldrums. I am always amused by the sharp repartee I’m hoping the best poets are here to stay, Those letting marvelous creativities soar With new thoughts and concepts open doors, Thrill me with new ways of seeing nature Give advice helping me to be more mature. Then, there are poets who make me laugh Or point out when I’ve made an awful gaffe, I learned to not pay attention to naysayers While gratefully accepting the sincere prayers. I’ve made friends all over this hurting world Enjoyed poems while mixed emotions swirled, So, if you are new to this site Poetry Soup, I hope I’ve helped you understand this group.

well i definitely write about poop and am proud to be queen of poop on poetry soup lol as for the bigots and bully boys I already have just blocked one before he can start again - leopards never change their spots and empty vessels definitely make the most noise, your poem is spot on Milton xx hugs Jan xx

Sweet Jan, I love your poop poems, but what I was referencing was those who try to stir s**t (it didn't rhyme with soup)...and that is not you! I won't mention any names, but I blocked him from commenting on my poems the minute he showed up! I have a long, long memory, and I hope the newbies will not be sucked into his disgusting methods. I thought I would send out some warning notes, but I didn't. I won't. They'll just have to find out the hard way, too.

Life's rich tapestry can be found swimming in the big Tureen that is Poetry Soup, that's for sure. A vast majority of the helpings served up are very warming - just like this one Milt! :)

Yes, such an array of talent and inspiration on soup. Totally loving it. I joined August last year and it's been brilliant. Just as trying out literal soups, we broaden our knowledge of flavour, style and presentation. What a lovely tribute your poem is to the global PS community :-)

Thanks, gw. I don't know what provoked this poem. I just sat down and started typing and it sort of poured out as is. From time to time, that happens.
