Her Wave

.

   How strikingly gray
    as the Spring rain
         plummets
      to the ground

        The green
        and brown
          all wet
             yet
  no glittering from
    the Sun's wink

         I walk
    not skip today
     and the train
  slowly slips away

        so drifts
       her wave

Wonderful James, this touches me in such a sad way. Rain does that sometimes and when the train slips away, someone is always left behind.

A sad and solemn write, James. Conjures up times as I'd watched waves drift then "slip away". An emotive piece! Best wishes, Mikki

Oh wow.....If I had seen this poem, before I wrote my latest poem....it could have been a collaboration of the same theme, yet strikingly different in forms....we must have been getting the same vibrations of the sad parting of a train....how weird that we were both thinking of this as a subject for a poem :) Love this!!
