Her Love of Shoes
Those shoes that she wears when walking down town,
Make her seem like she’s seven feet tall,
And when she returns and takes them both off,
She returns to being real small,
Then there’s others she wears when inside the house,
That are soft and tender and warm,
They toast both her feet like a comfortable rug,
Whenever there’s a freezing cold storm,
And there’s hundreds of others packed in her drawer,
Protecting her feet from the ground,
She wears when she sits, runs or she walks,
That she wears when she’s getting around,
But I’ve just one pair that I wear every day,
That go with all of my clothes,
And they are these boots, in toughened black leather,
I wear to protect all my toes.
