Her "honor" the Witch

I shouldn't really write this
But I think that I will
It involves Larry's Mother-in-Law
who I'll refer to as MIL.

I can't say first hand
if MIL's as bad as I've read
I just go by the things
that Larry has said.

My half of the conflict
appears on TV
How she's able to stay there
is way beyond me.

Her name is Judge Judy
whom we all should respect
we address her "Your Honor"
which is normally correct.

According to Larry
His MIL is a witch.
According to me
"Her Honor's" a bi....

She's arrogant and nasty
and has a bloated self-worth
she talks down to people
like they are the scum of the earth.

Some people she deals with
often act like a fool
But a judge should set an example
by being respectful and cool.

Judge Judy's a shouter
calls them "Idiots" and such
she abuses her authority
is she respectful? Not much.

These two are a problem
Larry must deal with his MIL
But I think "Her Honor"
should seek out Dr. Phil!

Hey Ralph, how about writing something witty for the commercialized holiday humor contest? Would love to see what you come up with. Best wishes, Carolyn

I agree with you about Judge Judy, but I don't know much about Larry's mother in law. I did see a couple of poems about her though and she seems to be a source of inspiration for several writers.

Much truth in what you've said, Ralph. You can't help but be surprised that people who should know better choose to be egocentrics. Being kind and respectful does not make you weak! On the contrary you are strong in more ways than one. Just surprised that Judge Judy with all her years of living and education doesn't know this.

Oh, Ralph, you made a great point about the arrogant Judge Judy! I'd like to see her go before a judge -- and one day she will! He's not likely to take kindly to her attitude. As for Larry's mother-in-law, I keep asking him to post a photo of her. He really has sparked a lot of interest in her. Awesome, fun poem!! Love, Carolyn
