Her First Poem

One written gift
for Santa, left beneath
the tree -- a scribble of
a sorts~ bad punctuation,
mixed lower and upper
case rhyme -- but it was the
place left that meant the world,
alongside a crayon heart
drawn by a little girl
who only wanted to
say: I love you, in her
own special way. Merry
Christmas also to Mrs.
Clause, and all the deer
and elves. And a blanket
for baby Jesus.

From a child's angle, these are the best gifts she can offer for each one who figures as the central characters in the great Christmas episode. A cute poem without any ambiguities.... very heartfelt. Hope you had a great Christmas. Now wish you a lovely New year of health, happiness and prosperity.

I value crafts by the very young above commercial look alike. There is no limit to imagination for a child.

From the mouths and hands of babes. Some of the greatest lessons of unconditional love, were taught to me by sizes much smaller than myself. God bless and keep safe the children.
