Tom, it's a beautiful thing to portray kindness up to the end. Something to think about since we are eventually all on the receiving end. Take care!!

Thank you very much Duke, being with a loved one at the end is heartbreaking but I believe it helps them and helps you too knowing you brought them comfort in their final moments. You're right though, we'll all end up in that bed, not too soon I hope. Tom

Hi Tom, You have conveyed so much emotion in only two lines. The ability to be present while a soul transitions is a God given gift. I love that he was able to hold her hands tightly as she went. Congratulations on your win and have a great weekend.

It is such a critical moment watching a dear one pass away. I have witnessed both my parents' death. I was present when my father and mother passed away and also when my father in law and mother in law passed away in different years and in different time span. I have also been present beside my brother in law's death bed. Thus, altogether I have witnessed five deaths. Though violently shaken, I could chant a prayer on all these five occasions and I feel blessed.

Wow Tom, brought tears. Reminded me of my sweet sister who passed away in December of 2022, my brother-in-law held her hand as she passed into eternity. She left behind her sweetheart and six children and her many precious grandchildren. I miss her dreadfully. I am so glad this is fictional for you, and that your dear wife is still with you. Losing a loved one is devastating to be sure.

Thank you very much BJ, I'm sorry to hear about your sister. You never forget them. Its a situation we all experience at some time in our lives I was with my mom when she passed and I'm sure they know you are there. Sadly when my dad passed he'd been gone for about 20 minutes, thankfully he wasn't alone because I'm sure that they know that. I hope you are keeping well. Tom
