Her

I write this, broken.
Drowning.
I’m suffocating.
I’ve finally been paid back.
For the hurt I have inflicted.
So here I am.
Ready to confess.
For a promise,
Has broken me.

Here it is.
This moment was bound to happen.
I feel cold.
So cold.
So much happiness.
So much hope.
All destroyed,
In one moment.
Because of one promise.

One promise.
I wonder if it was a lie.
Maybe.
But lie was a drug.
I enjoyed it as long as it lasted.
I loved it more than everything.
Too bad it ended.
I’m losing my sanity.
She stole it.
And ran away.
I noticed I’m a fool.
I dreamt of the sky.
When I belong in the dirt.
Maybe I deserve it.
Who knows?
Was it worth?
At least I won’t have regrets.
Actually, I take that back.
I’m full of regrets.
She would always be that distant angel.
The stars kids try to reach.
The sky we try to touch.
But why?
Why did I never realise?
That the actress is on screen.
With the rain falling outside,
I cry.
Burning hot tears,
Scorch my cheeks.
All because of her.
Her smooth dark brown skin.
Her cute smile.
All the features I had come to love.
We’re snatched.
Snatched from me.
By the one I used to trust.
The traitor.
The one who I abandoned.
Do I admit defeat?
Yes.
A girl’s heart is complicated.
Exactly why I don’t want it.
Deep down I know.
I know I’m a damned liar.
Two faced snake.
I’m lying to myself.
I desire her.
Desire her holding my hands.
Desire is watching the sunset.
But I have failed.
I lay my sword on the ground.
I kneel.
This is the where I stop.
Stop fighting.
I’m sorry.
No I’m not.
No I am.
