Although I love, I don’t agree
Sometimes the heart – it just can’t see
Beyond the sin, the iniquity
Fleshly desires, taunting me.
Although I love, I don’t agree with her
She’s pointing the way, a connoisseur
Of sin in this world, sin who will recur
Again and again, appealing to concur
Her sin, though often ignored
Offers an evil that I cannot afford,
Sin to silence the spirit, the Lord
Who reminds me, this sin is abhorred.
Although I love, I just don’t agree
He is love, and His love is free
Still yet, we must fall to our knee,
Ask for mercy - HE hung on a tree!
Although I love, I believe and obey
Because He is the One to whom I pray
He is the reason I know the way
I ask forgiveness for sin that does prey.
Her sin, though some may overlook
This sin is written about in God’s book
He is the judge, the truth she forsook
I know He loves her – all her sin He took
Although I love, I still know right from wrong.
This heart He gave me, is soft yet strong
When she tells me God’s word does not belong
I follow the One who always sings the bible’s song.
Although I love, I don’t feel like wrong is right
And when she tells me that she must fight this fight
I tell her that God’s Spirit lights the darkest night
And, when she sins, if she could see past the delight…
Although I love, my love doesn’t silence sin’s clever schemes
Sin is at the heart of every evil but our God redeems…
All we need to do is repent, because this sin isn’t what it seems.
I love with all my heart and that is why I tell you about hell’s screams.
