Hellos From the Idd

It exists in the mind of a drifter; That lives outside the realm of norm It's a primary collector and curator of information, And is designed to protect, serve and inform. From within its posture it is elevated. Invisible to most; It will adapt, improvise, and inevitably overcome, And it gives, it takes; and sometimes serves as host. Seeing so many emotions; In a world of the unmeasured; It chooses that which it considers of value to the drifters survival, It feels, ingests and through practicality; stores all things treasured. It knows the drifter; So often disguised as notorious; So it manipulates desires and guards the spirit, And through collecting; both he and the drifter will flourish. Are you a lady who's burdened? It will reflect to you the gifts you have. Are you a man who has been beaten down; it will ask for your help, Are you one to feed on unholy substances; it will show to you the sad. Do you care for only that which you see; What you hear, touch or feel ? It will show to you what the eyes cannot, nor can the hand sense, Present all things you heard that you Couldn't believe were real. Is this a monster, perhaps so,; But perhaps only in part; It seldom takes what you may expect; but often gives what you need, One is never sure if it gave or took from ones mind or heart. it recognizes and categorizes; It compiles and files in rooms with doors; And will collect all dreams and dangers; These are the things it knows to be pertinent and much more. This is not a fairy tale; but fathers grab your children; And mothers grab purse Perhaps it is a scripting; From some ancient curse All of which you think is true, From what was taught to you; If those cozy dreams are shattered, Then what will you do?
