Notes About The Poem

Hello- September

Month nine, September, has arrived
   to ease out summer's three-month stay,
      which after spring's rebirth survived;
         now, autumn splendor makes its way.

The sun shines lower in the sky;
   our daylight hours grow shorter too,
      while verdant greens fade by-and-by
         to morph into a golden hue.

Vacations end, kids back in school-
   September sets an altered stage,
      preparing for full autumn's rule
         when glorious landscapes engage.

And now, September, halfway gone,
   has turned a corner- soon we'll see
      October and November dawn
         their vibrant-colored jubilee!
