Hell Hound Grotto

In this valley they try to feel
A world their life finds surreal
Thinking of eating their next meal
In this place to live, you must steal

Lonely they stagger in this land
Holding a dagger in each of their hand
Eyes focusing on each other
They act like enemies and yet they are brothers

They live together
But die alone
Nothing gets better
From the hate that's grown

Most of them try to forget
Close to them are the crimes they regret
"Live for yourself" that's their motto
And you'll find nothing else at Hell Hound Grotto

Interesting that "hell's hound grotto" came in between "Simon's story part 1 and part 2 . Your poem is well written , Jacob. Sounds like reality in many places. - Robert
