Heed a Volcano Warning
May 18th, 1980
Mt. St. Helen erupted.
It was expected, many had escaped a bad fate.
Some opted to stay, wanting to go down in glory.
Two thousand square miles of trees were destroyed.
Mt. Pinatubo erupted eleven years later.
Both of these events reminiscent of the destruction of Pompeii.
Where twenty thousand people were not warned.
Many discovered permanently covered in molten lava
Volcanoes are no joke; heed her warnings my friend.
