Heaven's Sweetness - Anacreontic couplets

Two stars fell down from the sky.
They winked at me and smiled “hi.”
So entranced was I to see
heaven’s sweetness there by me!
Black of midnight was his hair.
Moon glow was his face so fair.

Dear Andrea, I’ve been checking in waiting for your anacreontic to appear - and it was worth the wait! This is so well written and I love your usage of just six lines. It flows so well especially as there’s no spacing in between the couplets. It’s heavenly romantic with lovely imagery. I especially love the last couplet. I think SO will love this. Good luck :) in the contest. Wishing you a very happy New Year. Xx

The way you put this reveals a lot of feeling. Our brains do something strange to us at times. Perhaps it's not so strange. A very pleasant read about a very nice space. It's nice when we can have it. Thanks
