Heaven Is For Real
A beautiful beating heart
that stopped — no longer breathing.
Her spirit is still alive,
an unwavering connection.
The link — the missing link —
broken in this lifetime,
will reconnect in Heaven.
I feel her presence
over my shoulder,
sitting quietly with her grieving mother.
Every day my eyes cast to the heavens,
trusting in the great miracle
of the wonders of God,
giving me hope
that Heaven is real.
I feel it deeply —
as real as the bond that ties us together.
Though gone from my sight,
she continues living a life of meaning,
waiting through days, months, even years
to reunite joyfully —
the promise
of why Heaven is for real.
