Heaven

By Author Dana Redricks June 27, 2023 Heaven is a place I long for, an escape from pain and heartache’s lore, where tears are wiped and hearts made whole, and love abounds in every fold. Heaven is a place of pure delight and peace, where all our troubles find release, No night, no darkness to consume, only joy that’s free to bloom. I yearn to be with my mom and dad, their love, their warmth, the memories we had, and in that place, we’ll reunite, where death will lose its sting and fight. Heaven is beyond all our comprehension, a beauty that defies all mention, Where the streets of gold, the gates of pearl, all lost to words, all full and whole. And there, with our Savior, we’ll spend eternity, our hearts full of love, our souls in serenity; Oh how I long for that place of grace, to bask in His glory and His embrace. So, when I’m tired, and when I’m down, I lift my eyes and look around; And I remember this one truth, that heaven awaits, no more pain for it has been wiped away. Oh what a glorious day. And when that day comes, and I’ll be raptured in the air, With all my loved ones, we’ll meet Him there; Our souls made whole, His love our home, in that place, where we will never roam, and we will be forever at home.
