I’ve seen it work and it gives new meaning to the phrase ‘love is made in heaven’. But lonely, vulnerable people should heed their mind and heart, being wary of not falling victim to an illusion. I love that song Heart Of Glass Debbie Harry :) when I was in my dichroic glass class. I made around 20 glass hearts. You did a great job reworking the words. And thank you for reading my poem called Words :)

Cyberlove can be so exciting and fun but it's true, one must be extra careful. And yes, hearts are like glass...so easily broken because love is truly blind sometimes, especially when the object of one's desire is a master/mistress of words...powerful words. But then I think sometimes that even cyberlove is better than no love at all. That's why some of us are more vulnerable than others.

Thats very true Carole, but I think a little caution is necessary, and a little perception on the persons part wouldn't go astray. When alarm bells start going off then one has to use gut instinct, I think. But we do hear of many a great love affair that has blossomed , so I guess it has become a necessary way of life? Hi Maria...your poem is a warning to those who are easily taken in by words...the gift of the gab! Friendship and even love can be found online, but imposters are also in abundance. Lonely people can fall victim to fantasy/illusion...my advice is to heed not only the heart, but the mind, too. I have made great friends on Soup, and my instinct rarely lets me down! Thank you Paul for your fine summary of my thoughts. Too many a time I’ve seen trusting people - lonely or just seeking relationships ‘Crash and Burn’ by trusting anonymous cyber impostors. Others who have been discerning, done their due diligence and developed beautiful friendships and relationships. The same principal that’s applied in the commercial world. Not everything online is false, sure, be careful, I won't deny that. But if it weren't for online love and friends, my life would be very lonely. Don't dismiss the power of online friends, just be cautious :)

This was fun and beautiful and really expresses the theme well. It is easy to fall into words we read, we see them and relate, at times feel they may be written for us alone, when in reality they float constantly on the winds of change. Not so much deception but perception. Really cool Maria.
