When words are spoken in anger, Leaving regret and shameful lines, penned By hearts who needed to vent – to express The darkness that betrays their need For healing, for breathing, for revealing Each whisper of loss and lessons Still to be learned, messages from the One Who we call on when we’re sure… There is only one place we can go, One voice who can penetrate the shadows, One song who can sing through the discord, One promise who can erase all the hurt. There is only ONE who can right every wrong He is life – He is love – He is God He makes a way through the pain and the hurt, Reassuring the soul that there is hope, Hope for tomorrow – hope for all the sorrow, Mourning that leans into our hearts, destroying our light, Leaving fears and tears where there was once… Gentle faith, tenderness and grace, Sincerity and sweetest praise, the reasons For all the greatest rejoicing, the wonder Of His light reflecting wonders inside, glistening With insight and inspiration, washing away Every lonely thought, all the depression, The discord that surrounds those who listen To the conflicts that come to life On souls who listen to the fall-out of a war Between two innocent moments, Two who know the meaning of forever, real life The miracle of love that never dies, never Quits – always surviving the worst there is, Because He lives – Yes, because HE IS… The mender of all that is broken, The listener of every word spoken, The reassurance that love won’t be broken – He will bless us with correction and conviction He will bless usYES, HE WILL FIX US!
