There have been days When I just couldn’t find The inclination or light To shine through my life I might not know why But I do know the One Who leads me on, through The struggles, the dark The worries and pain The feelings of doubt Disillusionment and fear All the reasons I could quit But I still keep traveling through On this road toward home And the Creator of my soul The One who guides my heart And fills my thoughts with love That dances across my dreams Finding a way to fill me up With kindness, joy and peace Feelings that fulfill and free Give me a reason to believe Silencing the pounding in my chest Pulsing to remind that I’m so scared There have been so many times When I just couldn’t realize the dream When I yearned to just find peace When I couldn’t seem to believe During those darker moments When my soul was being haunted I learned that God is there Always alive, working through The prayer that I might pray The grace that lifts my heart The inspiration that flows inside When my hopes are mixed with faith And Love brings the assurance I need To lay aside the pain and anxiety Reach out toward the One who lights The entire world with His own Son The answer to every worry I’ve known The hope that will always help me cope The wonder of love that comes from above Promising joy to those who let go And let love from Jesus bring relief From every sorrow, sadness or grief With Him, I never have to feel the discomfort Of letting go of my dreams, my loves, my beliefs With Him, I have everything I will ever need He is the answer to my heart’s countless yearnings For a love that will live throughout eternity He is the way, the truth and the life With Him beside me, I am without strife Thank God for everything He does His love, His grace – saves to the uttermost!
