He Is My Everything

I feel sure that he knows my heart And loves me more than I can know With a love that is alive and full Filled with a spirit of compassion I know that he loves me more than I know With a love that is unconditional and sure Filled with gentleness and tender hope Faith that assures me I have what it takes Where I’m weak, I know He is strong Wherever He leads, that’s where I go How could I stop giving when He is there Showing me about living generously? I’m so grateful that He gives me His spirit Fills me with sincere joy and acceptance A willingness to be aware of his protection And understand that He offers affection With Him as a part of life and living inside me I know that there is joy forever alive in me Showing me the path to true freedom of the soul And the direction to become who I know is good He knows all about my sins and my failures And He still loves me, despite my misunderstandings He gives me the chance to try and do better With a hope for tomorrow that feels me with purity Wherever I go, there is assurance that goes with me Showing me that true love like His abides within me Reassuring my spirit that I have all I need with me In the presence of His love, His spirit sent from above Without Him, I’d be unable to do much of anything He gives me the grace to reach out and toward my dreams Makes a way for me to discover the truth of intimacy With one who gives freely, without any conditions or limits You see, I know Him as the best friend I’ve ever had With Him, I’m so happy and never feel too sad He fills my heart with faith, hope and love that gives back A whisper of gentle knowing that He is my everything
