~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In gentle lines,
Shadows fall, quiet as dusk,
In the moonlight,
Hearts who learn to trust,
Because they must know,
Wonder of love,
Sensation of leaves falling,
Turning the world breathless
As the colors of a dream
Hues of rustling peace.
In lessons learned,
Songs twist and turn,
Bending limbs of hope and love,
Silencing the nocturnal past,
With glimpses into laughter’s best,
Intimate prose on love and joy,
Melodies, rhythms released,
Promises filling in the edges,
Like prayers who speak,
Beyond the waters,
Seas of listening grace,
Seas of endless praise,
Seas of God’s footprints, His even pace,
Between the night and the day,
Between the present and the past,
Between the lines,
Black and white, yes – even then,
We’ll see our sin,
As revealing the moments,
When lust gave in,
When lessons were found
In the song bleeding through the rays
Musical sun, balancing, silent,
As the dew’s glistening
On the morning rose,
The heart listening to the stars
Who are like glitter strewn,
Over the night skies,
In notes of jasmine, wispy
As the cries of a lingering smile….
Singing in poetry, risking joy,
Abiding in the mysteries,
All the festivities, history,
Spelling out hope,
Through the images, trembling
With hasty dreams, reasons
Beyond the faded stories,
Whispered like an old photo,
Translucent as the moon,
Glowing soft on the nocturnal,
Wounds breaking through,
Like life, hasty
Holding the lonely ache,
Pain fresh,
Like a piece of bone,
Splintered and weeping,
Shedding the last of the day,
When life remembers
It is the lessons,
Which will never fade…
Burned into the mind,
Slowly, like the last thought
Before sleep overtakes,
Swiftly, like the last heart
Before falling,
Never to fall again,
Because the season,
Season of grace,
Season of light,
Season designed,
For new loves, new dreams,
New leaves the table,
Replaced by familiar songs,
Habits recall,
Usual in November,
When the year begins to close,
Leaving awake the soon to be known,
Light that never fades,
Because it is a light shining
From the soul, who believes,
Soul who sees – He is the King
And because He is love –
we SING and SING….
Melting in the anointing, the flow
From veins who were steady,
Streaked with forever,
Hinting of forgiveness, everlasting, healing…
We sing because His blood flows,
Beyond the veins, across our stains,
Washing us so we’ll know the love that never ends.
We know the love that is completely steady,
The blood who rinses away every impurity,
Empties us of the sins we’ve carried,
Abides with us,
So we’ll abide with Him forever and ever!
Eternally, without end…
He chose us and I’m so grateful…
I belong to a King who is also a Savior!
