There once was a place  soupers called PS
Forgive me if I sound a bit too superc-i-l-i-o-u-s
               Bloggers delight with fisticuffs                
at  spiteful bullies  bogus bluffs
One day gone, none got along, all unscrupulous!

Delete them at first, what they falsely implore 
Seems one can’t hash it out with an execrator
Or block the gates
of those old reprobates
And poof all gone, it’s what buttons are for!

This is pretty funny! I like how you capture the drama of online spaces but keep it light and playful. The rhymes are clever and the word choices really make it stand out. It’s like a cheeky little inside joke for anyone who’s been through online ups and downs!

In a tale way…teaching that hashing it out, make for wiser decisions usually. I’ve written limericks in a tale sort of way "In a slant" like Emily would say, so all can understand, and not just insiders (those in the know). As a way to heal from the effects of bloggers comments or poems. Suggestions such as eliminating blogs, contests, buttons, etc. which I do not agree with…..it’s like medicine, if you get the wrong prescription don’t burn down the entire pharmacy. You are a very bright star, Rowena—shine on! xhugs

Hash it out! I am for eliminating peer sponsored contests for sure. Just way too many problems which I've discussed to the point of ad nauseum. But they're not going away under the current admins so we play with the toys we're given. As for controversy, it exists everywhere, why would we expect any difference here? Still, good to be civil

What stands out most is the blend of classical vocabulary—like “supercilious,” with its rich etymology—and modern, digital vernacular. The poem juxtaposes old-world haughtiness with today’s online dismissal culture, creating a layered and humorous critique of both.

If a poet feels righteous indignation, he/she has every justification to jump into the arena of controversy without angry incrimination! Anaya, you are missing a syllable in first limerick, I'd use pugnacious, audacious, spurious. Witty lims. Clapton is a good choice bestie. Robert
