Happy Song

I am beginning to forget The happy song we know It comes into my aching head When at the evening glow I gaze in hope to ease my pain Imagining a tree Your olive tree in pouring rain That I shall never see I still recall the spring has sprung We ran around the flower pots Since then we never felt so young I picked for you forget-me-nots The clouds drifted slowly by And I was lying on my bed You wiped a tear from your eye I didn’t want to notice that.
