Happy New Year

The New Year has arrived,
I cheered and partied to my heart's content,
No new year resolutions to start the year,
As I will forget them the very next day.

What makes the New Year’s Eve a happy night,
Being with family, friends, and loved ones makes it a delight,
Cheering up favorite sports teams on TV brings us close together,
Watching the ball drop in NYC starts the new year with cheers.

Looking at the winter sky over my house,
Some days clouds clear up to bring sunny bright days,
Life’s ups and downs will follow the cloud’s pattern,
Happy days will prevail over the gloomy days.

For the beauty of life, a compassionate heart would open,
Helping people in need, helping myself with kindness to share,
Feeling the pain of suffering masses elevates my devotion to heavenly wishes,
Happy New Year to all my friends, believe in yourself and almighty God.
