Happily Divorced

Always so... cordial
  Unfailingly... polite
    Cold-as-ice... phony smiles
            plastered to our faces

Tedious, boring... but not unpleasantly so
  nodding, agreeing... with nothing in particular

Infernos of hatred raging within us
  probing, never piercing, civility's placid surface

It is sad, isn't it, to hold a grudge forever. Just consumes people form the inside. Doesn't do a bit of good or help them one iota. Oh, well... Human nature is what it is. :) gw
