Ham

A timeless cloud embraced me and on the other side reality was softened by morphine's laughing eye surprise didn't strike me I did gradually ingest that that ham that hung before me was my femur very smashed. circa 2006 Posted 2017/02/05 Submitted to Michelle Faulkner's What Your Poem Needs Now Is Love, Sweet Love Poetry Contest

I'm not sure how to word this Maureen. I know this poem is about your accident, but it comes across in a theatrical way as if a dark comedy, but I'm not laughing. Ingesting the idea that that flesh is yours makes me grimace a bit, but now I'm not on sister morphine. I guess the best way to say it is that this poem has that doped up dream quality. I'm in awe.

Well put for I'm sure a horrible thing to go through. I've never broken any bones by some miracle but I've read that breaking that one is by far the most painful! IF that happened for real I hope you came out ok. If it's fiction. Well, never mind!......;0)........xxPat

Giggle I wouldn't know, I broke so much at once however I'm inclined to say the back bones may be contenders for top spot. I can recite the list for fun if like :) xomo!
