Halloween Poem # 30...Almost Halloween..Beware!

The time is drawing very near For all those spooks that we so fear 'Round every corner you will see Scary ghosts and ghouls freaky Witches with their scraggly hair Beak noses, warts everywhere Black cats hovering by their side On their broomsticks they will ride In the dark streets the undead Fill our beating hearts with dread Ghosts are floating in the sky Come to haunt us by and by Ghouls of every shape and size Staring with dead socket eyes Mummies, werewolves, vampires too Come to put an end to you! So lock your doors and stay inside Try to find a place to hide Don't let evil spirits find you 'Tis Halloween, need I remind you?

Yikes! I do plan to take your advice and stay inside on Halloween when the ghouls, werewolves and other creatures of the night are patrolling. What a great poem to set the mood for the holiday! Love, Carolyn
