Halloween Fright
On Halloween it was understood
We could not leave the neighborhood.
Just to be sure I minded Mother,
I had to take my little brother.
We both were having lots of fun.
Treats were abundant, tricks were none.
But i thought it would be extremely neat
To try the next block on the street.
A house lit only with blue lights,
Would surely have sugary delights.
Forgetting the rules I ran pell-mell,
Until my own blood curdling yell,
When turning I found my angry mother,
Demanding where I'd left my brother.
