Haiku Number:20170328

sounds of living water
winter's mute snow moths
spring into thunderstorms
NOTE: There is some flexibility with the 5,7,5 syllable rule. This haiku used 6,5,6 syllables. Thanks for any feedback, or advice. (c) Anil Deo, 2017March28.

Hi Anil...not keeping to the traditional 5-7-5 syllable count is no sin! If it helps with the flow of the poem, so let it be. This haiku contains a feeling of abundant motion, mostly found in the first and third line. // I see you have posted a lot of poems in less than a month, but it's only now that I have noticed your presence. Regards // paul

Sir John Michaels, great to see you again. Thanks much for liking this, my fave of my own, haiku/senryu. Today's was inspired by the contest --- & for this week, the ubiquitous Easter Lilies. AD

Yes, great expectations Anil! I love the last line! I am obsessed with searching pollinators on my hikes & in my community garden! Moths, Butterflies, Bees & especially Dragonflies! Good work again!

"The sound of living water," comes in Revelation; I loved the phrase the very first time I read it. Now, the Spirit teaches ... every thing in creation has a sound, even atoms and rocks! Hallelujah. Thanks for your encouragement ... it is not easy to comment on other poets. I sure appreciate you three fellow-writers for reaching out so generously. God is always giving hints of His nature ... among US. Blessings to all at Poetrysoup

Hello Anil. I so bow to all of you who write in the format. It is so specialized. You strayed true to the voice and tone. I have seen variations of the syllable count. The imagery is vivid. In my eyes this looks marvelous and wonderfully executed. Well done
