Definitely loved reading this beauty again, Andrea! And super happy that this got into the winners :D I really liked how you employed that contrast of the flood of sunshine instead of the rains this time :) & thank you so much for your inspiring comments in mine! Heehee I actually spaced it in my title since I wasn't sure whether the metaphor would be obvious, so I left the clue in my title :D Awesome that you got it :D thank you & hugs to you :D

Hi Andrea, thank you for your comment on 'History'. I actually thought about archeology when writing this Senryu, but of course you're right. Core actually means the inner depth of the earth. But i did not think about that really. I don't know if you heard of 'pacha mama' how the Southamerican Indios call 'Mother Earth' and I thought about that in the first place. Hope you are ok in Utah and not too warm. Her temperatures will fall slighly again by end of this week. Love, Gert

Well penned Haiku on monsoon, Andrea! I have lived in Sri Lanka and know what monsoon means, but it can also mean flooding and destroying crops.. Wish you best of luck for the contest and tank you for your welcome comments...Have a great day...Gert
