An excellent reflection, Timothy. Would be inspiring, especially if it were Mount Fiji! Regards // paul

Thanks again Matt. For the most part haiku is stronger when it's more straightforward. I'm pleased you like it!

wow Timothy, i like the reflection of the mountain in the water. The imagery is perfect, and i must say one of the best haiku I've ever read... I'd rate your poem with a 10 but, we are only allowed up to 7... I wonder what the image in the lake would look like, if I stood over it, and skips some rocks over the imagery on this page already.... would i be making a mountain shake... he he~ JK... Linda

That's a huge compliment PD! Glad you liked it... and I was almost wondering the same thing. Mountain shaking is easier than you think... just have to stretch your sense of logic a bit ;)

My powers of observation must be diminished, I didn't realize you were talking about a reflection. Good thing I read Tim's comment. Great job Tim!

Ha ha... yes, haiku can be a bit strange if you are not connecting with the image. They are similar to riddles at times.

You add your own to the spice to the haiku... I like that :) When it's in the middle of summer and the lake is still like glass... the picture just takes your breath away.

Wow, thanks Tim! It does seem to flow better with the 'and'... it encourages me to know you think I am improving :)

Not trying to be a know-it-all jerk here Tim...But consider taking out the word 'and' in the last line and its perfect

Great haiku, Timothy. To answer your question, the books are very small with very thin pages...2 or 3 books per pocket, and pockets over the whole body...even the upper arms(though only one book thick there) 100 is just a guess, but you could fit at least that many....LOTS around your stomach, chest, and back. But really, one looks ridiculously too fat for their head in this outfit..ha...the grace of God can be the only answer to getting away with it so many times.
