** If you are unfamiliar with the women abalone divers of South Korea, (the Haenyeo), you should do yourself a favor and Google it - it is an amazing tradition that has been going on for generations, and they are to be admired and honored for their skills, hard work and courage. **
Thus seen, far past one's own
To delve the ink depths, lone
Too brave to wrest the clasp
Of cold steel from your grasp ...
Oh, how can there e'er be
A pearl to charge the sea
For gods, in all their best
To place, bold, in their breast?
Hence, man's empyreal trial
Midst epochs, stark denial
A matron's peerless valor
Or veil of bloodless pallor.
