Gumby

For a little piece of green clay, he always had something to say. My classmates used to watch him before school. They thought he and pony pal Pokey were cool. Kids thought of them as a sensation. They were the products of imaginative animation.

I never saw the attraction for that silly thing but I do remember him and it was funny when he said, "OH NOOOOO" (wasn't that him?)

No, you're confusing Gumby with Mr. Bill of Saturday Night Live. Gumby was produced by the same people who created Davey and Goliath for the Lutheran Church of America.

I remember Gumby and Pokey. That was one of my favorite shows when I was a little kid. Boy, animation has sure come a long way! Nice write, Robert. Love, Kim
